In the "Markgräflerland" where three countries
meet – Germany, France and Switzerland –
nestling between the mountains of the Black
Forest and Vosges, lies the spa and resort
town Bad Krozingen (232 meter, 14 500
inhabitants). The mild climate and idyllic
countryside of the Rhine Valley give the area
a Mediterranean feel.

The first thermal spring was discovered in 1911 in the course of an unsuccessful search for oil. With a temperature of 39.4 Centigrade and mineral concentrations of 4000 mg/L the thermal springs are also very high in carbonic acid (over 2000 mg/L), making them one of the richest carbonic mineral springs in Europe. The thermal springs are relaxing and regenerating and have been used to successfully treat cardiac, vascular, and circulatory disorders; rheumatism; and are therapeutically successful in prophylactic treatment. There are 40 practising doctors; seven rehabilitation, and three private clinics in Bad Krozingen.

Enjoy the relaxation and ambience of the
classical lifestyle in our mineral thermal spa
VITA CLASSICA. Four individually tempered
indoor pools offer not only physical well being
but are also visually rewarding. The outdoor
pool with its‘ bubbling grotto, flow channel,
massage jets, and waterfall invite exploration.

In 1998 the Vita Classica was extended by the
addition of a "sauna landscape" including
one
external and two internal sauna cabins, a steam

temple, a red pearl grotto, a Japanese garden,
a rest room, a sundeck, and much more.
